I wish you could hear me right now. The last couple of weeks have been heavy on work, very light on sleep, and I’m finally - finally - getting to sit down and breathe. And think about reading. And think about writing. My stuff, not the stuff I do for clients.
If you could hear me right now, it’d sound something like:
“Ooooooooof…!”
I’ve got a cup of tea in my hand, a pillow behind my back and a soft blanket over my cold toes. My email inbox is closed for business, my social media feeds are shut down, and I’m looking forward to reading what all my favourite bloggers have been up to while I’ve been slogging, not blogging.
If you’re reading this, I hope you’re well and I hope you’ll forgive the absence.
Note to self: schedule in some blog time!

An excellent example of spontaneous writing. I try to remind myself that no one is sitting in judgement in the blogosphere. We are hard enough on ourselves, aren’t we?
Definitely – it can be a tough old life and sometimes it runs away with you. I was determined not to let one more day go by without posting on here – while there’s a slight sense of guilt for the lightweight post, my regular visitors (and all the infrequent ones, too, actually!) are lovely enough not to demand perfection from everything I publish :) And yes, you’re right – I think most of us are kinder to others than we are to ourselves!
Welcome back! I missed you.
Oh, how lovely to hear – thank you! :) I’ve missed your cheery little comments, too!
